In today's bargaining session the Administration made a counter-proposal on Compensation. We also had an in-depth discussion of Promotion & Course Assignment.
Both current Compensation proposals are structured as follows: one-time bonuses upon ratification, with a raise in Sept. 2024 and another raise in Sept. 2025.
The Union's proposal:
-Bonuses: $1,500 for QALs; $3,000 for benefits-eligible NTTs
-Raises: 12% in Sept. 2024; 7% in Sept. 2025
Our proposal also includes a compensation floor.
The Administration's proposal:
-Bonuses: $1,500 for QALs; $2,500 for AYALs; and $3,000 for RTLs and Senior Lecturers
-Raises: 5.25% in Sept. 2024; 5.25% in Sept. 2025
This is an increase of $500 in bonuses for AYALs and RTLs, and a .25% increase in the Sept. 2024 raise from their previous proposal.
We are preparing a counter-proposal on Compensation for our next bargaining session, on February 15.
