25th Bargaining Update

Dear campus community,

In today's bargaining session we made counter-proposals on Compensation and Promotion & Course Assignment.Compensation is the highest-priority

issue for our bargaining unit. We are all dealing with an extraordinary cost of living and the effects of inflation. Many of us have salaries

that classify us as low-income by agencies from local, state, and national governments.  This is why we are fighting hard on this issue.

The other high-priority item we are still working on is job security.

The Union's most recent Compensation proposal:

-Bonuses: $1,500 for QALs; $2,500 for AYALs; and $3,000 for RTLs and Senior Lecturers

-Raises:  9% in Sept. 2024; 6% in Sept. 2025; 5% in Sept. 2026

Our proposal also includes a compensation floor.

The biggest change in our proposal is the addition of a third year to the contract.

The Administration's most recent Compensation proposal:

-Bonuses: $1,500 for QALs; $2,500 for AYALs; and $3,000 for RTLs and Senior Lecturers

-Raises:  5.25% in Sept. 2024; 5.25% in Sept. 2025

Best,

The Union Bargaining Team
