Dear Campus Community,
Now that we have made all of our opening proposals to the administration, we are beginning to see more counter-proposals from the administration, leading to lively discussion and tentative agreements on a number of issues.
Today we reached tentative agreements on access to and interviews for open tenure-track positions, unemployment insurance, and student loan forgiveness. We also presented counter-proposals to the administration on discipline and discharge and leaves of absence.
This is in addition to tentative agreements reached in our July 20 bargaining session on: reporting equity data, grievance and arbitration, and office space and support. We also reached a tentative agreement on the non-monetary portion of the faculty development proposal.
Our next bargaining session will be September 1.
